A good design is of paramount importance at International Armored Group. Vehicles bearing the IAG logo have been used for years in hostile environments around the world with an exceptional safety record. Our standard configuration armored vehicles provide exceptional protection and escape capabilities and have been proven with hundreds of vehicles having survived even the most challenging of attacks.

We differentiate ourselves from the competition by providing individually customized armoring solutions, not just an armored vehicle, to our clients.  Our years of in-depth experience allows us to understand that a good design alone cannot guarantee the desirable performance that our clients have come to expect from us over the years. This is why, as an armored cars manufacturer, we individually field test and sell to our clients only after a thorough inspection and approval is received from our Quality Control Department.

SmartarmorTM Technology
Unique to IAG is the ability of the design to fulfill multifunctional capabilities.  Components are designed to be cost-effective, integrated structurally, permit ease of maintenance and provide superior ballistic resistance, all in one package.  Our Engineering and Design teams have created a new method of armoring vehicles, achieving higher levels of safety and ballistic protection while maintaining structural integrity and superior handling characteristics of the armored vehicles, despite the additional weight inherently found in ballistic steel, ballistic glass and other protective materials.



Complete Vehicle Protection
As standard on every armored car we produce, the roof is completely armored with the same level of protection as the rest of the vehicle. In addition, the floor is upgraded to provide blast protection. This ensures full occupant survivability, even if attacks are from above, such as sniper attacks from bridges or overpasses, or from the ground, such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Door & Window Overlaps with incorporated Spall Shields (Bullet Catchers)
All doors (upper window part and lower steel part) are fully overlapped with ballistic steel to provide all around protection against both linear and angled shots. In addition, integrated Spall shields prevent any shattering of the glass. This ensures the passenger compartment is completely protected without compromise. Additionally, OEM door panels are replaced with special customized panels from IAG offering better fit and higher durability. 



Rear Protection
The vehicle rear protection features a ballistic steel bulkhead with an integrated gun port and emergency rear door lock access, as well as reinforced hinges. A ballistic glass window is also added to maintain clear visibility in the rear.

Engine Compartment Protection
All IAG vehicles come equipped with ballistic steel plate battery protection, ECU protection, fender and front-end protection and master cylinder protection.  Additionally, we offer optional upgrades such as additional cooling fan and air scoop(s) to enhance engine cooling, front and side radiator protection specifically engineered for optimal air flow.



Upgraded Suspension and Braking
IAG offers upgraded suspension and braking packages to improve the armored vehicle performance and handling.  The addition of slotted brake discs improves the ventilation and grip of the brake pads. On the other hand, the heavy duty brake pads significantly reduce friction and stoppage distances.  Heavy duty shock absorbers and heavy duty struts with 2-stage coil springs and external gas/oil reservoir allow for superb handling and cater to the additional weight of the armor on the vehicle.



Rims and Run Flat Tires
An important part of any protection vehicle is the ability to escape from an attack zone quickly.  To ensure that is possible, all vehicles are equipped with the latest run-flat inserts in the tires and heavy duty rims.  This permits continued driving even after the tire has been deflated.

Reinforced Hinges
Our vehicles feature fully internal reinforced hinges made from heavy duty steel that are custom designed and can only be found exclusively in IAG vehicles. This guarantees that the hinges will transfer the excess door loads to the interior structure of the vehicle.  The result is a long lifetime of door components and structure that maintains proper alignment.



Additional Options and Upgrades
Many additional options and upgrades are available in order to satisfy even the most demanding client.  IAG has the ability to equip its armored vehicles with heavy duty electric winches, front and rear ram bumpers, front and rear reinforced bumpers, roof escape hatch, wire mesh tailpipe protection, turbo and supercharger kits, turret and gun boxes, spot and strobe lights, 360° surveillance infrared cameras, wireless and radio communication devices, luxury seats with adjustable built in features for extra comfort and much more.


The Result
The finished IAG vehicle provides exceptional protection, since the armoring is fully connected throughout and virtually becomes the new vehicle structure. In turn, this provides excellent structural rigidity and will offer rollover protection, as it doubles as a functional roll cage in the event of loss of control during evasive manoeuvres.
