BMW X5

The armored BMW X5 SUV provides excellent performance  due to its sturdy suspension system and chassis. Combined with a high performance V8 engine and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, this armored security vehicle offers superior speed and handling characteristics in a luxurious package.  Currently on its third generation, the newest model was introduced in 2013.  It uses the same chassis and wheelbase as the previous model, however it offers several new engine options including : xDrive40d, xDrive35i and, for the first time on the X5 model, two four-cylinder engines xDrive25d and sDrive25d (with two-wheel transmission).  IAG offers several armoring packages for the BMW X5 ranging from CEN B4 (NIJ IIIA) to CEN B6 (NIJ III).
